Mo. Laura reflects on the importance of showing kindness because we never know what struggles or burdens someone else may be carrying. Drawing from her own experience of receiving kindness while recovering from hip replacements and from Scripture’s call to compassion, she encourages everyone to practice unexpected kindness and remember how deeply even small gestures can impact others.

Mo. Laura reflects on the many ways we use the word “love” and considers the difference between everyday affection, human relationships, and the deep, unconditional love God has for humanity. Mo. Laura reflects on discovering chamomile plants unexpectedly returning after years of surviving in difficult conditions, using their resilience as a reminder of faith and perseverance. Mo. Laura thanks the congregation for their prayers and patience while she cared for her friend Lynn, who remains hospitalized but is showing signs of improvement. The newsletter then features Bonnie Baron’s reflection on the “Dawn Chorus,” exploring the beauty of birdsong, its benefits for well-being, its significance in scripture, and how listening to birds can deepen prayer and appreciation for God’s creation.

The message reflects on a simple, personal form of prayer and asks for prayers for the author’s close friend Lynn, who is undergoing lung surgery for cancer. The author also shares plans to support him during recovery, which may require temporary coverage at church. Additional updates include upcoming church events, a request for hospitality on Pentecost weekend, a new Girl Scout troop using the space, and a summer book study on The Screwtape Letters by C. S. Lewis.
