WEEKLY REFLECTION | Last Sunday after Epiphany, February 19, 2023

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We are on the threshold of Lent. Wednesday, 2/22, we will be celebrating Ash Wednesday, with a noonday service via zoom; “Ashes to Go” from 1:00-4:00; and a traditional Ash Wednesday service with music and Eucharist at 7:00 at the church. Please let me know if you would like to have the zoom link for the noonday service. If you plan to come in the afternoon for ashes, let me know when you expect to be here so I can be ready for you.

During Lent, we will have a Lenten class on the Psalms called “Words from the Soul”.  At each zoom session, we will explore one of the formats of the Psalms. For homework, you will be invited to create your own psalm in that format—your own Words from Your Soul. And then, those who wish to can share them at the next class. Classes begin the week after Ash Wednesday. There will be two opportunities each week with the same content. In case your schedule does not allow you to be part of a Monday evening, 7:00-8:00 group, there will be a Thursday class 12:00-1:00. All classes are via zoom and everyone is invited. Please share the invitation with family and friends! Mondays: 2/27-4/3 7:00 p.m. Thursdays: 3/2-4/6 12:00 noon.

In the meantime… Get ready for Lent with an explosion of ALLELUIAS!
