Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Given that a major storm is expected tomorrow, we’ve decided to postpone Annual Meeting to next Sunday (March 1), after the service. It is important that we have time together for fellowship and food, as well as to have a quorum so we can conduct parish business.
As of this hour, it appears that the real snow will be starting Sunday afternoon. So let’s have the usual 9:00 a.m. service in person, and leave immediately afterward, without coffee hour. We’ll make up for it next week! It would be a real shame to miss the first Sunday of Lent and the Great Litany, one of the most ancient services in our prayerbook.
That said, meteorologists are warning that changes could still come. So please check back around 6:00 p.m. If there are changes, I’ll be posting on the weather closings WFMZ site: https://www.wfmz.com/weather/stormcenter/#tncms-source=Top-Navigation-Weather-Stormcenter .
Stay warm and stay safe! And pray for all the first responders who will be out in the storm and for those who do not have adequate shelter.
See you tomorrow!
