Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I have been saying that the month of November has many exciting things going on. In the last couple of days, even MORE has happened! So instead of reflecting on lectionary themes today, I thought it might be helpful to give you a schedule so you can plan. You’ll also find a couple of inserts you’ll need.
October 30 Wreath Sale begins. Two years ago, before rotten COVID interfered, we had a great sale of Christmas wreaths, thanks to our friends from Trinity Bethlehem. We’re going to do it again this year! Not only are the wreaths truly beautiful and long-lasting (mine stay fresh and green until the end of January), $10 of each sale comes back to St. Margaret’s. You choose which kind of ribbon you’d like. Order some for yourself and some for family and friends. They would also make lovely, living gifts. The Fundraising folks say they are willing to deliver if you can’t get to church. Fill out the order form here.
November 7 All Saints Sunday. If you wish to have us commemorate loved ones who have died, please add their names to the list at church. Send us the names in our Contact Form. We need to have the names no later than November 2. (Please don’t send via US mail. They probably won’t get here in time.)
November 14 St. Margaret’s Day. The joyful celebration of our parish’s patron saint! The pipers will be here, as well as some surprise guests. Scones, shortbread, and other traditional goodies after the service. Invite folks to join us and share the joy! Take a look at our famous St. Margaret’s Day Soup Recipe!

November 21 Consecration Sunday. The day in which we show our thanks for God’s generosity by making our pledges of support (in time, in effort, and in finance) to St. Margaret’s work and mission. Sunday before Thanksgiving.
November 25 (Friday) Last day to order wreaths.
November 28 First Sunday of Advent. Our seminarian, Jen Burkhardt, will be preaching her first sermon among us, please support her with your presence.
November 28 Wreath pickup in the parish hall following the morning service.
