Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Summer is well and truly upon us! School is out. The sun is high (and hot!). And some of us are planning to travel. I like to say that God trusts us to go on vacation, and trusts us to come back to our wonderful parish when we get return. Don’t forget, though, that you can take St. Margaret’s with you! Each Sunday, technology permitting, our service is livestreamed on Facebook at 9:00. If you can’t make it at 9:00, we’ll still be waiting for you when you have time to check in later on.
Although it’s summer, several exciting things are still happening. On July 8-12 and August 5-9, Ellie Escher’s music camp will meet here. This year her camps are fully subscribed, with 25 teens each week, learning to sing, dance and act, usually with Broadway-style material. It’s one of the favorite weeks of my year, because I love hearing all the enthusiastic young voices, all day, every day. And they work so hard and intensely!
On Friday evening of each camp week, at 6:30, the kids give a performance for the community, family and friends, to show off their amazing talents. Parishioners especially are invited for this highly entertaining variety hour, offered FREE to everyone. It is very well worth your time. Come and help us to welcome members of the community who wouldn’t normally be visiting St. Margaret’s.
JOY and enJOY!
Mo. Laura
