St. Margaret's Construction

WEEKLY REFLECTION | Proper 12A – July 30, 2023

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
In the part of the world where I’m from, we used to say that we had two seasons: winter and road repair. This year we could say that St. Margaret’s Church has two seasons: church year and church repairs. Most of you are here only on Sundays, so you don’t get to see how this is a BUSY place during the week!
As of this morning, the concrete work on the steps, curb and sidewalk has been finished! Next, comes installing the railings and finishing the landscaping. (All those trucks and machines have changed the look of the area…)
In addition, Greg Cygan has scraped, sanded and repainted the weather-worn side doors to match the church doors. Not only do they now look wonderful and inviting, they will  now be protected from harsh weather damage.
And then, there is the constant attention that the gardens and lawns require from the Cygans and Matt West and a multitude of minions who kindly care for the church, where we “worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”
Enjoy the pictures! Hopefully, everything will be ready and sparkling by the fall when we welcome everyone back from vacations, camp, travel and so on. And while you’re admiring the new looks, please remember that we still owe the cement contractors who have worked through the ferociously hot weather for the concrete work. And we will also be requiring additional funds to add to the safety railings in the next month or so. If you are able to contribute, we’d be grateful. If you have already contributed, enjoy the wonderful work you are helping to make possible.
JOY!
