Dearest Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Again, it is with great joy and thanksgiving that I write to you that the big day of St. Margaret’s reopening is happening!
So – MARK YOUR CALENDARS! It has been a long wait – we have persevered – and we are going to again experience the incredible joy of being physically present together in worship yet again.
COVID Precautions will be in place:
- Ushers will help with seating – keeping social distances in mind.
- Congregants are encouraged to sit “every other row” which will be easy to recognize because of St. Margaret’s red plaid bows on the pews in which to sit.
- Following written diocesan guidelines, masks will be required in order to respect each other – for those who have not been fully vaccinated and for the safety of children, older adults, and those who are immuno-compromised.
- The chapel altar will remain close to the congregation and congregants will file down the center aisle to receive communion.
- Bread only will be received at the time of Communion. After receiving the bread, congregants will file back to their pew down the side aisles.
- There will not be a choir in the beginning, but hymns will be permitted. How exciting it will be to hear music again!
- Coffee Hour will resume in the fall.
It will be amazing to be together again. I am counting the days!
REOPENING

The Sixth Sunday
after Pentecost
How wonderful and timely is The Collect for the Sixth Sunday after Pentecost:
O God, you have taught us to keep all your commandments by loving you and our neighbor: Grant us the grace of your Holy Spirit, that we may be devoted to you with our whole heart, and united to one another with pure affection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
My friends, may we continue to be one in the Spirit. And let us continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
